How We Train
At FIT CLUB, we’ve taken bits and pieces of various effective methodologies to create something new in functional fitness: weightlifting that is dictated not by numbers and percentages, but objective data and then on your subjective, individual response to stress. We do what we can handle.
Over a block of training (typically 5 weeks) we apply more volume, more load and we get a little bit closer to failure each week, but exactly how much more stress we apply is based entirely on YOU. How did you sleep?. How did you eat? Do you have a lot of work stress? Life stress? You will not find a more ‘individual’ group training philosophy in the world.
Our Programming:
We train in 4-6 week blocks where the vast majority of training is with weights - primarily barbells and kettlebells. We supplement that training with short power endurance circuit style training, usually in the 4 to 16 minute range, depending on the training cycle. We also have a GHD, a reverse hyper, and a cable machine for supplemental work.
In addition to training here, we believe that you should get outside and take advantage of this beautiful place we find ourselves in. We program 4 days per week and we’re open 6 days per week. If you can’t make a session - that’s fine! The programming will still work for you, and feel free to come in and make up a session anytime during open hours.
